Khadya Sathi Scheme Online Apply: West Bengal Khadya Sathi Scheme was launched by the state government on 27th January 2016. According to this scheme, 7 crore people i.e. 90% of the population of the state will be able to buy rice and wheat at the rate of 2rs per kg. On the other hand, about 50 lakh people will be able to buy rice, wheat etc. at half the market price. This scheme is discussed in detail.

Khadya Sathi Scheme 

Benefits of Khadya Sathi Scheme :

Beneficiaries belonging to EWS and BPL category of West Bengal will get rice, wheat at affordable price (Rupee 2 per kg) under this scheme. West Bengal government is trying to provide food security to needy people through this project.

Eligibility Criteria for Khadya Sathi Scheme :

  • The following eligibility criteria must be met for availing the benefits of Khadya Sathi scheme.
  • Applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • Applicant must be a citizen of West Bengal.
  • Must belong to BPL and EWS category.
  • Must have a valid ration card.
  • The applicant cannot be a government job holder.

(Note: It is possible to come under Khadya Sathi scheme by renewing the ration card after the expiry of the ration card)

Documents Required for Khadya Sathi Scheme :

  • Digital copy of ration card.
  • Voter Card (EPIC).
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Income certificate.
  • Passport size photograph of the applicant.
  • Credit score.

Khadya Sathi Scheme Online Apply

Following instructions are to be followed to apply for Khadya Sathi scheme.

  • For application visit West Bengal Government Official Page “Agye Bangla” website- https://wbpds.wb.gov.in/
  • Click on ‘E-Citizen’ option on the official page.
  • Then click on ‘Digital Ration Card 2023’ option.
  • Select District Name and Municipality.
  • Provide all required details in the blank space.
  • Upload scanned copy with details of required documents.
  • Click on ‘Submit’ option to apply.

The process of ration card digitization has been started by the state government since last few months. The new digital ration card will replace the old ration card with the new digital ration card. The Government of West Bengal has launched the Khadya Sathi Scheme for the people of West Bengal. Current ration cards can be amended and updated under this Khadya Sathi scheme. “Duare Sarkar” campaign has been launched to provide services in this regard.

Khadya Sathi Prakalpa: Application for digital ration card should be made in form 4

Households having digital ration cards but missing family members, need to submit the form, Digital Ration Card (DRC) Form No 4, to bring the family members under the scheme. If some members of your family do not have digital ration card then application can be made through form No 4. Application form should be duly filled and submitted along with supporting documents. Form IV R/ Form IV-U has to be submitted for adding names of family members.

What is required for Khadya Sathi Form No. 4:
  • Khadya Sathi form number four will first require a photocopy of the digital ration card of the head of the household or any member (who has a digital ration card).
  • Photocopy of applicant’s Aadhaar card (Birth certificate will be required if the member is below five years of age).
  • Photocopy of voter card of the applicant.
  • Valid mobile number (applicant’s own or family member’s).

Khadya Sathi Prakalpa: Application for correction of any information present in the digital ration card should be made in Form No. 5

5 application form should be submitted for correction of digital ration card. Where you can correct your name, address, date of birth or spelling. The application form should be filled correctly and supporting documents should be submitted along with it. Form VR/ Form VU for correction of name or address.

What is required for Khadya Sathi Form No. 5:
  • Photocopy of current ration card is required for Khadya Sathi form 5 no.
  • Photocopy of Voter Card/ Kishan Credit Card/ Bank Passbook/ Driving License/ Passport will be required for necessary corrections.
  • Valid mobile number (applicant’s own or family member’s).
  • Photocopy of Aadhaar card of all family members.
Application for change of ration shop/ration shop at fair price should be made in Form 6:

For change of Fair Price Ration Shop/SKOil Shop (K.Oil Dealer) Form No. 6 and supporting documents are to be submitted. Form VI-R/Form VI-U will be required to change a new ration shop.

What is required for Khadya Sathi Form No. 6:
  • Khadya Sathi Form No. 6 will require photocopy of current digital ration card of applicant and head of household.
  • Photocopy of applicant’s Aadhaar card.
  • Aadhaar card photocopy of other family members.
  • Photocopy of marriage certificate (in case of transfer due to marriage).
Application for Surrender of Digital Ration Card on death or other reasons should be made in Form 7:

For surrender of digital ration card due to death or any other reason, Form No. 7 and supporting documents should be submitted. Any ration card can be canceled with the help of this form.

What is required for Khadya Sathi Form No. 7:
  • Original digital ration card will be required for form number 7.
  • Photocopy of Aadhaar card of all family members.
  • Photocopy of death certificate/cremation certificate (in case of surrender of Aadhaar card due to death).
Application for Alternative Digital Ration Card should be made in Form 9:

If your digital ration card is lost, or for any other reason, to get a new duplicate digital ration card, submit Form 9 along with supporting documents.

What is required for Khadya Sathi 9 Form:
  • Khadya Sathi Form 9 will require photocopy of lost or damaged digital ration card.
  • GD number (if possible) to be given in case of loss or theft.
Application for General Category Card should be made in Form 10:

Form 10 will be required for digital ration card in new general category. A blank Form 10 should be collected and supporting documents should be submitted immediately to apply.

What is required for Khadya Sathi Form No. 10:
  • Photocopy of ration card (if possible) is required for Khadya Sathi 10 form.
  • Photocopy of Aadhaar card will be required for all members above five years.
  • Photocopy of birth certificate will be required for children below five years of age.
Application for Linking Mobile and Aadhaar Number with Digital Ration Card should be done in Form 11:

Application form number 11 has to be submitted to link mobile and aadhaar number with digital ration card. Where you can add mobile and aadhaar number with your ration card. The application form should be filled correctly and supporting documents should be submitted along with it.
